typesetting & design We offer services ranging from simple form set-up to graphic design and concept development. Contact us to find out how we can help you successfully set up your print materials.
scanning & color correction Our expert staff performs scans on an EverSmart Pro Scanner which accommodates images ranging from 35 mm slides and transparencies to 12” x 17” originals. We can match your photographic originals with super-accurate precision and color correct those images that may need a little help.
digital proofing For your convenience, we provide full color proofs for every job we print. This ensures that you will know how your job will turn out before it is produced. Our proofs are run either on an HP Designsage Spinjet 1000 2-sided proofer or Epson 9800 contract color proofer, depending on the nature of the work to be done.
plate output After the final proof has been approved, we run plates through our Screen PlateRite 4300 Thermal Plate Recorder. Plates are exposed via laser and are punched, imposed and ready to hang on the press in minutes. We have recently implemented this direct to plate technology, saving you both time and money on your printing jobs.
file preflighting Each file is examined prior to proofing and checked for accuracy. If there are errors, we will work with you to get them resolved as quickly and inexpensively as possible. Please keep in mind the following when sending your files to us:
- Include all files pertinent to the job. This includes all fonts (both screen and printer files), the file with the page layout and any linked files (graphics, photos, illustrations, etc.) used in your job. If you’re unsure of how to collect all these items, call us or visit our comprehensive preflight guide.
- Make sure you provide spec information. We’ll need to know the number and colors of inks to be used, the paper weight and finish, the quantity, the total number of pages per piece, the finished flat trim size and whether there are any special treatments (i.e. folding, scoring, drilling, die cutting, saddle stitching, etc). See our quote request form for additional explanation.
- Submit a hard copy proof. Having a copy of what you’re expecting as a finished product will help us ensure that what you see is what you will get. We prefer full-sized proofs in color but will work with what you are able to provide.
Please refer to our comprehensive preflight guide for additional information on file set up.
